Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings of the season to you all!

December is a month most of us look forward too. Many of you look forward to putting up the tree, decorating the house, some of you are planning on making the various tasty mouth-watering delicacies, choir practises,  midnight carol signing and so on.

Sometimes we get so engrossed in celebrating the season and not relishing the essence of the season.

What does this month remind you about other than all the above?

Does it remind you of God being faithful and fulfilling His promise of sending a Messiah to save us?

Does it remind you to trust Him over and over again?

Does it remind you to selflessly live a life and bring about a change in someone's life?

Here in UK, advent calendars are common. It’s used in families to countdown the days to Christmas. Some have a story each day, otherwise presents, some of them have life lessons to learn. This year I was thinking of why don't we as children of God make a list of 25 people or situations to pray for.

This month let's also not forget to thank Him for His immense grace in leading us for the past 11 months both in our joy and our sadness.

This month our Loving Lord promises Philippians 1:6 "And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

Continue to hold on to Him for He will complete what He has begun.
